As a graduate designer, my focus was on classical design and film. During my professional career I discovered the user experience for me. Focusing more on function and user understanding is a logical and absolutely sensible development for me.

What made you decide to go into business for yourself?
The different challenges and being able to work more independently.

What advantages / disadvantages do you see in self-employment?
There are many advantages such as variety, new learning, flexibility, independence, further development, etc. – I would not want to miss it anymore.Disadvantages are the moments of uncertainty regarding planning security, social security. But after more than 10 years of self-employment, you become more relaxed.

What motivates you?
Good cooperation, challenges, exchange with like-minded people.

What sense do you see in your work?
To reconcile user needs, business requirements and technical possibilities.

What do you love about your job?
Designing, optimizing and collaborating with talented colleagues. Learning new things.

Communication, organization, design, empathy

Which projects have you done for TalentFormation?
Breuninger, OTTOnow, KMO, ECE

What were your biggest learnings in the projects – both on a professional and personal level?
Growth and value of experience, qualitative & effective collaboration in diverse teams.

In which projects did you feel you had to leave your comfort zone? Why? What did that change for you?
KMO: Collaboration with a service provider/colleague was initially stalled because areas of responsibility were apparently not clearly defined. That surprised me a lot and I had not experienced that before. Here I was super supported by TalentFormation and the client side and we can work well together as a team.

Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
As a UX designer/consultant in other industries, such as sustainability, food, logistics, mobility.
